Expressive Arts

Everyone draws, doodling , while talking on the phone, for example. While engaged in these in these activities you are busy with selecting, simplifying and mark making. You are also engaging in observation. In everyday life we see what we have learnt and that what we have learnt to accept.

During art making we also develop sight into insight. Art making does not have boundaries it begs you to experiment and have fun. It rewards you with self-awareness and a deep appreciation of the world around you.

Art making can help with stimulating the senses, building self-esteem, problem solving and enhancing social skills. When it comes to expressive art the focus is not on the finished product but on the creative process that paints the real picture- not the drawing skills and artistic abilities.
